The Ensemble Paul Klee is the in-house Ensemble of the Zentrum Paul Klee. There are six concerts annually and a series of free commented short concerts. In collaboration with the School of Music / Conservatory Bern, the Ensemble presents six children and family concerts per season to a younger audience.

The formation of the Ensemble Paul Klee essentially corresponds to Schoenberg's "Pierrot Lunaire": voice, flute, clarinet, violin, cello and piano. Depending on the composition of the respective works, guest musicians are cast.

A programme about Paul Klee always presents a tension between the music he loved (Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, etc.), the music of his contemporaries (Schoenberg, Hindemith, Bartok, etc.) and the music for which he and his art were a source of inspiration (there are about 300 scores of music by Paul Klee in the Center Paul Klee archives).
