Paul Klee was fascinated by the originality and expressiveness of psychopathological art, children's drawings and prehistoric and non-European art. As a connecting element of these art forms, "Magical Thinking" serves the Creaviva exhibition team as a hook for the new interactive exhibition.

The works and the world of thought of Adolf Wölfli take viewers into a crazy, unusual world. The interactive exhibition in the Creaviva draws attention to the infinite wealth that is hidden in the small. It invites visitors to immerse themselves in Wölfli's colourful works and to let themselves be captivated by the kaleidoscopic, constantly changing and yet manically repetitive world of images and symbols.

The circle as the epitome of the infinity of the universe is the defining element of the interactive exhibition. It helps to establish a connection between the small and the large and to build a bridge to a supersensible world through one's own concrete actions. Oversized mandalas as communal works on the window fronts, reminiscent of church windows, and round tables equipped with mirrors and a wide variety of materials invite guests to create their own universes and experience the magic of order and symmetry as well as colour and light. By means of a video installation, one of Wölfli's works is brought to life in an unusual way; the animation can be experienced lying down in a wooden cube and serve as inspiration to invent one's own stories.

Thanks to the support of Sophie Brunner, Atelier Rohling, a work by Pia Heim can also be presented. She is an artist from the so-called field of "Outsider Art". With the works from the estate of the Bernese artist Roland Werro, she has created a temporary installation that questions, for example, the handling of estates and authorship.

The interactive exhibition is accessible free of charge daily from Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the loft of the Creaviva and is aimed at a multigenerational audience aged 4 to 88.
