“Four things”, the German painter Feuerbach said, “it takes four things to be a great painter: A soft heart, a precise eye, a light hand and freshly washed paint brushes.” We will gladly provide the squeaky clean brushes here at the Creaviva. But it is up to our guests to bring along their hearts, eyes and hands. Starting July 8th 2016 the interactive exhibition at the Creaviva will transform into an enormous studio for 16 weeks. We will focus on nothing less than the simple joy of painting. Our work will build a bridge to the exhibition “Paul Klee. I am a painter.” displayed at the Zentrum Paul Klee from July 8th until October 30th 2016. And maybe, just maybe some will discover what Paul Klee experienced on his Tunis Trip in the spring of 1914: “The colour possesses me. It will always be this way - this I know with certainty. I am one with colour. I am a painter.”
